British Swim School continues its nationwide expansion with a new pool location in South San Francisco, CA.
The San Bruno location has been open since December 2018 and the addition has been open to the public since May 2019 and is being acknowledged through a grand opening celebration on May 18th at the Courtyard South San Francisco.
The new location will be run by British Swim School franchisee, Pamela Resser. Resser became involved with British Swim School when she was at a turning point in her career and was eager to explore something new. She worked as a marketing consultant for Visa prior to joining the British Swim School franchise system.
“I noticed a hole in the Bay Area market where a British Swim School should’ve been, and I became immediately attached to the school’s mission,” said franchisee Pamela Resser. “Having limited programs like this in the Bay Area, combined with my deep passion for teaching a life-long survival skill to both children and adults, propelled me to join the franchise and open my own pools.”
British Swim School offers a two-step curriculum teaching children and adults of all ages, some as young as three months, water safety and survival skills, along with swimming skill development. While parental supervision is always the number one safety measure, research shows that participation in formal swim programs, such as those offered by British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.
