Child water safety and survival program, British Swim School, provides local community with innovative swim program in Woodstock.
British Swim School, the pioneer of gentle, non-traditional infant water safety programs, is making a splash in the greater Atlanta area with the opening of its newest location at Gold’s Gym situated at 301 Gold Creek Trail in Woodstock. Set to open on February 4, 2017, this location marks the fourth British Swim School throughout Atlanta.
British Swim School offers a two-step curriculum teaching children and adults of all ages’ water safety and survival skills first and swimming skill development second. While parental supervision is always the number one safety measure, research shows that participation in formal swim programs, such as British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.
“Drowning is the leading cause of death among children ages 1-4, claiming an average of 3,500 lives every year in the United States,” said Hebel, franchise co-owner of British Swim School of Woodstock. “Swimming is a critical life skill and there are a multitude of benefits for children enrolled in swim lessons at an early age. We’re looking to help to drive awareness of the importance of water survival skills, as well as provide increased access to lessons in the greater Atlanta area so that we can help save lives.”
