“Participation in formal swim programs, such as British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.”

British Swim School’s focus has always been saving lives and providing people with a lifelong skill. In the article Dino states that “Drowning is the leading cause of death among children ages 1-4, claiming an average of 3,500 lives every year in the United States. Swimming is a critical life skill and there are a multitude of benefits for children enrolled in swim lessons at an early age. We’re looking to help drive awareness of the importance of water survival skills, as well as provide increased access to lessons that can actually help save lives.” The article goes on to state that “Participation in formal swim programs, such as British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.”

British Swim School currently conducts an average of 370,000 swimming lessons on an annual basis, reaching more than 9,000 children per week. With this new location in Central Jersey, British Swim School expands their reach. Programs are offered for children as young as 3 months to adults. The two step curriculum at British Swim School emphasises safety and survival skills first and swimming skill development second.
